CEO
Baker Media, Inc.

Bridget Baker is the founder of Baker Media, where since 2013 she has advised leading media and technology companies. Prior to launching her firm, she spent 23-years at NBCUniversal, where she was a co-founder of CNBC and helped drive the company’s early expansion in the cable industry.

As NBCUniversal’s first President of TV Networks Distribution, she built and led a $5 billion content distribution enterprise spanning more than two dozen cable networks, broadcast retransmission consent, expanded Olympic Games coverage, strategic M&A growth, and the launches of Hulu and early digital distribution initiatives.

Baker serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards, including PBS SoCal, LiveOne, and the Syndeo Institute at The Cable Center. Among her many honors, the Vanguard Award for Distinguished Leadership and induction into the Cable Hall of Fame are especially meaningful, reflecting recognition through a confidential, peer-nominated and blind-voted process led by senior industry executives.

Raised in Alaska, she began her career on Capitol Hill working for U.S. Senator Ted Stevens. She was also the only woman to serve on the board of GCI, Alaska’s largest diversified communications provider, until its sale to Liberty Broadband.

Throughout her career, Bridget Baker has been known for building enduring partnerships, expanding access to content, and leading with perseverance and resilience in a rapidly evolving industry.
