As principal of Baker Media, Bridget Baker advises and represents major media and technology companies. Prior to launching her company, she had a distinguished 23-year career at NBCUniversal. She was a co-founder of CNBC instrumental in building, and later overseeing, a $5 billion content distribution business that was acquired by Comcast Corporation in 2013. Ms. Baker was the only woman to serve on the board of Alaska’s largest diversified communications provider, GCI of Alaska, until its 2018 sale to John Malone’s Liberty Broadband. Today Ms. Baker serves on several public corporate boards and on the nonprofit boards of PBS SoCal, Syndeo Institute at The Cable Center, and her alma mater, Pitzer College. Ms. Baker has received a number of top industry awards, including the Vanguard Award for Distinguished Leadership, and in 2021 was inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame.
