Born in Havana, Cuba in 1958, Mr. Cusco was immediately attracted to the media industry by his father, a longtime media executive. In the early sixties Mr. Cusco’s family emigrated to the United States and eventually to Venezuela. During his young adult life, Mr. Cusco studied in both Venezuela and the USA before joining his Family broadcast business at an early age.

Mr. Cusco became involved in the birth of the paid television industry in Venezuela.

This experience led him to found Ole Communications in 1990, and the following year partner with Time Warner to launch HBO Latin American Group. In 1994 Ole Communications expanded its portfolio of networks by partnering with A&E Networks to launch its family of basic networks throughout Latin America and distributing with HBO, The Warner Channel, SONY Entrainment & E! Latin America. Today, Ole Communications has grown substantially and has expanded its portfolio of brands to include the networks of NBCUniversal as well as an extensive network of support subsidiaries that provide sales, technical, program acquisition and administrative support to the partner channel groups detailed below. Mr. Cusco currently lives in Miami, FL with his wife with whom he has three children.

HBO Latin America Group: HBO LAG was created in 1991 as a partnership between Ole Communications and Time Warner. HBO LAG distributes its portfolio of premium networks as well as the basic pay-television channels and TV everywhere/VOD offerings of A&E Ole Networks Latin America, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros, and NBCUniversal Networks International Spanish Latin America. HBO LAG also manages one the largest Florida-based technical facilities of its kind uplinking more than 90 feeds, an initiative spearheaded my Mr. Cusco. Mr. Cusco is a founding partner and co-chairman of the Board of Directors of the HBO Latin America Group.

A&E Networks Latin America: Launched in 1994, A&E Networks Latin America produces, programs and manages the A&E, History Channel, History 2 and Lifetime pay-television channels for all Latin America. A&E Networks Latin America is a leader in the production of unscripted original programming for the Latin America market. A&E Networks Latin America operates offices and facilities in Miami, Mexico, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires and Bogota that produce 20 different feeds of these network for Spanish speaking Latin American and Brazil. Mr. Cusco is a founding partner and co-chairman of Board of Directors of A&E Networks Latin America, a joint venture with A&E Television Networks.

NBCUniversal Networks International Spanish Latin America (UNISLA): Mr. Cusco was a founding partner of E! Entertainment Latin America, which later became part of a broader joint venture, UNISLA, created in 2015 by Ole Communications and NBCUniversal to bring together E! Entertainment and NBCU’s other Spanish speaking Latin America channels: Universal Channel, Studio Universal, Syfy and Telemundo International.

Ole Broadcasting: Ole Broadcasting is the Ole Communications subsidiary responsible for providing technical operations and services to Ole’s related channels with technical facilities in USA, Colombia and Venezuela.
VC Medios/Multichannel: VC Multichannel subsidiaries and affiliated companies, provide advertising sales representation and support services in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Panama for affiliated and third-party pay-TV networks.

VC Sports: VC Sports controls the licensing of world-wide multi-media broadcast rights for the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League as well as certain Venezuelan & Colombia television broadcast rights for Major League Baseball (US).

IVC Networks: IVC Networks International is a pay-television channel offering a wide variety of programming including sports, news & entertainment principally targeting a Venezuelan audience and is available in the United States on DirecTV and in Latin America via Cable & DTH in more than 10 million homes.

Actualidad Media Group: Actualidad Media Group is a Spanish-language radio network group based in South Florida. It currently owns and operates four radio stations, namely: Actualidad 1040AM, MIA 990AM, Exitos 107.1FM and Actualidad 1020AM.

Union Radio Group: Union Radio network stations consists of four networks & more than 26 owned and 30 affiliated stations in Venezuela.
