Industry history in its original form.

Before the media world was digitized, we had tape. The Barco Library Media Collection is a compilation of more that 5,000 audiotapes and videotapes in VHS, beta, U-matic, and digital formats. Donated by various organizations and individuals, the recordings of events and programming from the history of cable are all now housed in this searchable collection.

What now seem like relics were once the most advanced technology available, and both the medium and the material contained within provide a window into the evolution of our industry and media in general.

Photography Collection

A visual history of a changing industry.

The Barco Library Photograph Collection is a pictorial history of cable television. With more than 100,000 slides, prints, and negatives of studio portraits, set photography, action shots, and much more, our photo archive contains images from every aspect of cable and connectivity.

Thousands of our photographs are now available to view digitally through our online searchable database, and more are being added regularly.
