Executive Committee
COO Emeritus
CableLabs
Chris Lammers is Chief Operating Officer of Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs®), a position he first undertook some four years before the first iPod was commercialized (most definitely not a Millennial). While a somewhat “seasoned” executive at CableLabs and being ever opportunistic, Chris has redefined his role several times over – now on v.4 – this in the effort to continue to identify opportunities to advance CableLabs and its member support. In this latest version, Chris has developed a rather unique role at CableLabs with responsibilities for operations, membership development and international relationships. His leadership of operations has him supporting accounting and finance, human resources, IT, facilities and events functions. With his background leading a mid-sized cable operator, Chris retains his passion for and relationships with CableLabs’ mid-market and smaller market members. In what remains of his working day, Chris also directs CableLabs’ international membership and global alliances. His success – when it occurs – is really attributable to a remarkable team of professionals who make all this possible.
Chris currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Emma Bowen Foundation and The Cable Center. He is actively involved in support for several national and international industry trade associations.
Prior to joining CableLabs in 1997, Chris was President and CEO of Western Communications, a mid-sized multiple system operator with cable systems located in the Western United States. Before joining Western Communications, Chris was a partner with the San Francisco law firm of Cooper, White & Cooper. He received his law degree from the University of Chicago School of Law and a bachelor of arts degree with distinction in psychology from Stanford University.
