Larry joined The Cable Center staff as CFO in late 2003, became its President and CEO in July 2005 and retired in January of 2016. He has been an advocate for business and science education for more than 30 years as a college instructor, consultant, and business leader.

After his military service in the Signal Corps, he attended the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs where he received a BS in Business in 1980. He spent five years in bank operations before switching to business education as an instructor and executive director of a proprietary business college. In 1984, he accepted a position with a nationally prominent K-College science education group as the chief business officer. He spent close to 20 years supporting the development of science and technology curriculum projects, teacher training, professional development, and research under federally funded grants and contracts.

In 1990, Larry completed his MBA in Finance and Accounting at Regis University, where he later served on the accounting faculty. He has a passion for history and is a regular contributor to various cable publications where he writes about the history of the cable industry.
